white CHRISTMAS
Sara-Jeanne has played Betty Haynes in White Christmas for 3 years for The Arts Club at The Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage. Back again for her 4th season PLEASE come and see it. It may be your last chance.
Director: Bill Millerd
Choreographer: Valerie Easton
Musical Director: Bruce Kellett
“Sara-Jeanne Hosie is fantastic as Betty. She’s completely relaxed, which makes her charming, and when she sings her enormous voice simply pours out of her.”
-Colin Thomas, Georgia Straight
“Hosie’s rendition of “Love You Didn’t Do Right By Me” is as wonderful as I remember two years ago.”
-Mark Robbins, Gay Vancouver
“Hosie has an especially compelling presence as Betty, singing with gusto to make even the sappiest scenes between Bob and the haughty Haynes sister more than mere treacle.”
-Peter Birnie, Vancouver Sun
White Christmas is a musical based on the Paramount Pictures 1954 film of the same name. The libretto is by David Ives and Paul Blake, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. The original production starred Brian D’Arcy James, Anastasia Barzee, Meredith Patterson, and Jeffry Denman.
Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, two iconic song-and-dance men, follow a sister act to Vermont, only to discover that the nearly-bankrupt lodge they were to perform at is owned by their former commanding general.

Dear Sara-Jeanne,
I had the opportunity to see White Christmas last night and you were fantastic! Really lovely voice.
My favourite was “Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me”
We actually danced together at Janice Tooby-Macdonald’s dance studio in Victoria. It’s OK if you don’t remember me I was a couple years older than you but what a nice surprise to see an old Tap dancing friend from way back.
Congratulations on all your fantastic work and your new album.
Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Daylan Braude(Pflug)
Hi Daylan!
Thank you so much for coming to see the show and for contacting me! Ya know what is funny, I think I saw you on 12th before the show that night? I said to my friend, “I used to dance with them, I think”
Well, I should have stopped you but I’m terrible with names… not that it hasn’t been 15 years! haha. Do you still tap? I wish I got to be in a few of the tap numbers in the show but I do love my songs.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a great 2013!
Sara-Jeanne
Thanks for the reply!
That is too funny that you saw me that night!
I am the worst for forgetting names. I always remember a face but names escape me!
Yes I still Tap. I actually teach Tap at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby. I love it!
It seems unfair that you didn’t get to Tap in the show but you did have the best role!
All the best to you again.
Take Care
Daylan
