a closer walk with PATSY CLINE

Sara-Jeanne has been playing Patsy Cline, Created by Dean Regan, to sold out audiences since 2006 for several different theatre companies.

The Mayfield Theatre, Edmonton, opposite Sheldon Bergstrom as The Little Big Man

Director: James Brewer
Musical Director: VanWilmott

“Hosie, evokes Cline wonderfully” - Edmonton Journal, Liz Nichols

The Chemainus Theatre Festival, Vancouver Island, Andrew Legg as the Little Big Man

Director: Shane Snow
Musical Director: Doug Dodd

“Sara-Jeanne Hosie does a great service to the Cline legacy. Barely recognizable from when I met her a few days before opening night, Hosie does well to capture Patsy’s deep heart and deeper tones” -Cowichan NewsLeader, Matthew Peterson

The Arts Club Theatre Granville Island Stage & Tour, Kevin James as The Little Big Man

Director: Shane Snow
Musical Director: Nico Rhodes

“Hosie gives beautiful renditions of both Cline’s classic and lesser known songs. From a beautiful “Faded Love”to the tragic “I Fall to Pieces” and iconic “Crazy”, Hosie is in her element here, hitting Cline’s signature contralto notes with ease.” -Gay Vancouver, Mark Robbins

Hosie, one of our most underrated musical theatre stars, makes it worth the while.  She’s especially adept at the ballads, offering gorgeous renditions of Bob Wills’ “Faded Love,” Irving Berlin’s “Always,” and a torchy “Bill Bailey””  -Vancouver Plays, Jerry Wasserman

“Hosie knows how to tell a story in music, so when we hit the Act 2 goldmine of Cline’s best tunes—including “Just a Closer Walk With Thee”, “She’s Got You”, “Back in Baby’s Arms”, “I Fall to Pieces”, and “Crazy”—it’s a pleasure to sit back and listen. Hosie’s tone is pure, her voice is powerful, she’s got her very own version of Cline’s suppressed sob, and you get the feeling that she knows what she’s singing about. Hosie is an excellent performer—she can act as well as vocalize” -The Georgia Straight, Colin Thomas
