Sara-Jeanne is the Executive Director of Eclipse Theatre Company and has been working nationally as a theatre artist for over twenty years. She has received Jessie Richardson, Sterling Haynes, Ovation, and Critics Choice awards and nominations for her work. Born and raised in Victoria, BC, SJ is a true island girl at heart. After a very enjoyable four year adventure in Toronto she began to miss the mountains and ocean so she returned to the west in 2004 and made Vancouver home for 10 years. Vancouver was a gift to her both professionally and personally, and no matter where she travels it will always hold a very special place in her heart. In 2012, the east called her back and she and her husband Kevin bought a home in Stratford Ontario… with a pact that she could return to the west at least twice a year. She dons many theatrical hats including acting, directing, choreographing, writing, producing, new play development, and teaching. She is a proud member of Canadian Actors Equity Association.
Sara-Jeanne just had the honour of playing Alison Bechdel in The Canadian premiere of FUNHOME.
Originally from Vancouver BC, she now calls Stratford home. She spent two seasons at The Stratford Festival of Canada as an Associate Director alongside Gary Griffin and Robert McQueen.

Sara-Jeanne is grateful to be working consistently in an industry that brings her so much joy. It’s a gift that she vows to never take for granted… even on those hard days when the dreadful thought, “Why did I choose this profession?” creeps into her head. Because, it’s worth it, that’s why.
